The Pritchard Programme

Online recovery support tailored to you

Stephen Pritchard founder of The Pritchard Programme

I offer one-to-one sessions shaped around your needs. This is not a fixed programme everyone follows the same way. Whether you're building relapse prevention strategies, navigating aftercare following treatment, or working through recovery as it comes, we start with an assessment and go from there. Delivered entirely online to clients worldwide.

Assessment-Led

We don't start with assumptions. The first session is a thorough assessment - understanding your history, what's worked before, what hasn't, and what matters most to you right now. That shapes everything that follows.

Structured, Not Scripted

I designed The Pritchard Programme, a structured 16-week recovery curriculum that was adopted and used across UK prison services. But one-to-one work with me isn't that programme applied to you - it's practical recovery coaching shaped around your specific situation: relapse prevention planning, working through setbacks, building a recovery strategy that fits your life.

Grounded in Lived Experience

I've navigated thirty years of addiction and thirteen years in prison. I know the specific barriers, the patterns, the moments when relapse feels inevitable. That experience isn't the point of our work - your recovery is - but it means I recognize what you're facing.

Practical & Focused

Every session has a purpose. Whether we're identifying triggers and coping strategies, planning your next steps, or working through something that's come up, the focus is on moving forward, not endless exploration.

One-to-one online sessions

Assessment-led recovery coaching delivered confidentially, entirely online. We start with a thorough understanding of your situation, then shape each session around what you need to move forward - whether that's immediate support or longer-term recovery planning.

Aftercare support

Ongoing professional support after residential treatment. Rather than leaving you to manage alone, we establish a clear recovery plan and work collaboratively through the critical months following treatment.

Practical, focused recovery support tailored to your specific situation and goals,

delivered online worldwide.

My Story

I spent thirty years in addiction and thirteen years in prison. In my early forties, I turned a corner - entering recovery through Life-Line substance misuse services and committing to frontline recovery work. That was thirteen years ago.

In my professional career, I've worked as a peer mentor, recovery champion, and support worker across the UK's most demanding addiction services - Life-Line, Inspire, and Mulberry Community Project in Blackpool.

My headline achievement was designing The Pritchard Programme, a 16-week recovery curriculum I developed for frontline use. It was adopted by HMP prison services across the Northwest, and I delivered it across four prisons: Styal, Kirkham, Risley, and Hindley - not as an inmate, but as a civilian programme facilitator. That distinction matters: I know both sides.

More recently, I co-founded and led The Glade Rehabilitation Centre in Thailand, bringing The Pritchard Programme to residential clients as lead practitioner - delivering one-to-one and group recovery work, alongside running the centre's day-to-day operations. The Glade closed in April 2026, and that closure is what brought me here: to building an online practice that makes this same work available to anyone, anywhere, without needing a residential bed to access it.

Today, my work is grounded in lived experience and professional practice standards. I'm currently studying for an MSc in Mental Health and Addiction Studies, and entirely focused on recovery coaching that works: assessment-led, practical, and shaped around your specific situation.
